Representative netball is an opportunity to represent your netball association and compete against the best junior netballers in the state. Teams are selected through a independent trials process at the end of each year. Representative teams train on Monday evenings with qualified coaches. Teams compete in association carnivals and at Tiger Cup or Netball Queensland State Age, held annually.

The attached Representative Program Information Booklet has general information regarding WDNA Programs. Click here
This program is collated for all age groups. WDNA expects all athletes who are selected in representative squads to continue their personal development at home during the holiday period and break from netball.

Our Rep Ready program is for children turning 11 years. They will receive weekly coaching and attend warm up carnivals with the pinnacle event being Tigers Cup in June. Our Rep Ready program exposes young athletes to the wider representative program of which they can trial to be a part of when they are turning 12 years.
Junior teams are selected from children turning 12, 13 or 14 years in that calendar year. These athletes will form three teams. Two will compete for their age group in warm up carnivals and at Junior State Age, Netball Queensland's four day carnival event.
The State Age event is hosted by an association in Queensland, previous years have been held at Townsville, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast and Brisbane. Often this means staying away as an association and where the best memories are made with friends.
Athletes are selected into two teams with both teams attending warm up carnivals and Netball Queensland Senior State Age carnival held annually around Queensland.
The Greater Brisbane Netball League began in 2021, replacing the Queensland Premier League Zone 6 competition. Games are held weekly at Nissan Arena (home of the Queensland Firebirds). Players can play in both Senior State Age teams and a GBNL team. Successful GBNL trialists will be placed into one of two teams. Both teams compete weekly in the GBNL competition which runs from April to September.
Nissan Arena hosts the Mixed M-League. The competition runs from September to December and is open to players aged from 14 years to opens. Teams are made up of both females and males, with three males on court per team at any one time.
